Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of LoveLedger, the points-and-appreciation app for couples made by Sideways Lab ("we", "us", or "our"). By using LoveLedger, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

LoveLedger is a points-and-appreciation ledger for two people. One partner creates tasks and rewards; the other completes tasks to earn points and spends them on rewards the first partner delivers. Appreciations, mood check-ins, and a shared memory timeline round it out.

2. Accounts

LoveLedger starts you with an anonymous account — no email required. You can optionally secure it with an email link later, which lets you sign back in if you lose your device. You're responsible for activity under your account.

You must be at least 18 to use LoveLedger. It is built for adults in a relationship and is not intended for children.

3. LoveLedger Plus

LoveLedger Plus is an optional subscription or lifetime purchase that unlocks premium features. It's billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, whichever you purchased through. Manage, cancel, or request a refund for your purchase there — we can't process billing changes directly.

4. Acceptable Use

Use LoveLedger for its intended purpose: tracking tasks, rewards, and appreciation with your partner. Don't use it to harass or harm anyone, attempt to access another pair's data, interfere with the service, or reverse engineer the app.

5. Content

You own the content you create — tasks, rewards, appreciations, mood check-ins, and any proof photos. Anything you create in a shared pair is visible to your partner, and stays with them if you later delete your account (see below). Don't upload content you don't have the right to share.

6. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from You → Settings → Delete account in the app; see Delete Your Data for exactly what that removes. Dissolving a pair affects both members — it ends the shared ledger for both of you, not just the person who dissolves it. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Disclaimers and Liability

LoveLedger is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, Sideways Lab is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits any statutory consumer rights you have that can't be excluded by agreement.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. We'll update the date above when we do; continued use of LoveLedger after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

If you are a consumer, this does not take away the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in. LoveLedger is offered in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, and wherever you are you keep any rights under your local law that cannot be excluded by agreement — including the right to bring proceedings in your local courts where your law provides for it.
