Delete Your Data

This page explains how to delete your data from LoveLedger, the couples points-and-appreciation app made by Sideways Lab. Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.

How to delete your entire account

1. Open LoveLedger on your device.
2. Go to the You tab.
3. Tap the gear icon to open Settings.
4. Tap Delete account.
5. Confirm when prompted.

This removes your account and personal data from our servers and clears the app on your device.

If you can't sign in

Email [email protected] and ask us to delete your data. If you secured your account with an email address, write from that address and we can find and delete the account.

If you never added an email, your account is anonymous — it exists only on the device that created it, and we hold nothing that identifies you as its owner. In that case we cannot find your account from an email, and deleting the app will not remove the data from our servers. The only reliable route is the in-app Delete account button on the device you still have. If you have lost that device, contact us anyway and we will help where we can — but please understand the limits of what we are able to verify.

What we delete and what we keep

When you delete your account, we remove the following from our servers:

• your profile (display name and avatar);
• your sign-in credentials and account;
• your notification history and registered devices;
• your premium entitlement record.

If you share a ledger with a partner:

• your shared history (tasks, points, appreciations, mood check-ins, and any proof photos you attached) stays with your partner, who co-created it. Your profile name and avatar are removed, so those entries no longer show your name.
• Once your partner also deletes their account, nothing is left that either of you can reach. The shared history and any proof photos are then permanently erased, no later than 30 days after the pairing ended.
• If you were the only person in your ledger, it is deleted in full straight away — including any proof photos and any unused invite code.

Some data may be kept for a limited time after deletion:

• Copies of your data in routine encrypted backups are removed as those backups are cycled out.
• Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions in the App Store or Google Play; store purchase records may be retained where tax or other legal rules require.
